Effective field theory is a very powerful tool to understand the intricacies and consequencies of symmetry breaking. The subjects of the workshop include classification of Nambu-Goldstone bosons, spontaneous breaking of spacetime symmetries, construction of effective Lagrangians and applications to condensed-matter and high-energy physics.
Our aim is to bring together a small group of researchers in an informal working atmosphere in order to support exchange of ideas and establishment of new collaborations.
