Light Dark World 2025

Transportation
The workshop will take place at the Institute for Theoretical Physics (IFT), located on the campus of Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Below you will find the recommended transport options for your arrival at the IFT.
TRANSPORTATION
Metro
Madrid has an extensive and convenient metro system (map). Tickets are available via a reusable "metro card" costing about €1. This card can be recharged with trips and purchased at station machines (accepting cash, banknotes, and credit cards) or at ticket offices.
Airport Supplement: A €3 surcharge applies for trips to and from airport metro stations. You can buy a combined fare + supplement ticket or a separate supplement ticket at airport metro exits.
Cercanías Renfe
Local trains operate regularly within Madrid province (map). Tickets can be bought as single-use paper tickets or rechargeable Bonotren cards.
Taxis
Taxis are plentiful and reasonably priced. A ride from the airport to the city center (6 AM - 10 PM) has a flat rate of €30.
Buses EMT
Madrid's public buses are divided into EMT (red/blue) and interurban buses (green). EMT buses accept metro tickets, while interurban buses require separate tickets purchasable onboard.
